Sun Hongtao, Zheng Shuifang, and Lu Jia, the designers behind this project, drew inspiration from the hustle and bustle of city life. They aimed to guide visitors' emotions through art, allowing them to become part of the local space rather than feeling like alienated bystanders. The Cifi Ningbo Honored Palace, located in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, was completed in 2021, showcasing the city's charm in a unique way.

What sets this design apart is its cross-border collaboration with Zhong Shuge. This partnership has resulted in a space that is more than just a sales gallery. It's a place where visitors can enjoy books, coffee, and records, offering a slice of modern life. The space is named after books, and the cute bear of Cifi Real-estate runs through the entire area, creating a memorable experience for potential buyers.

One of the challenges the design team faced was creating a color gradation game with books above the bar. All the similar color books got mixed up during shipping, and it took a whole day for the team to sort them out and put them on the shelves. This unexpected challenge turned into a fun installation for the team.

The Cifi Ningbo Honored Palace has been recognized for its innovative design, winning the Golden A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2022. This award is given to marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom.
